Men-Tsee-Khang Sowa-Rigpa Medical College & Hospital, Dharamsala, successfully hosted a one-day Employability Skills Training Workshop on 17 July 2026 in collaboration with the Empowering the Vision Project (EVP) and Youth Empowerment Support (YES+), Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration. The workshop was organized with the objective of enhancing students’ employability skills and preparing them for future educational and professional opportunities.

The workshop commenced with a welcome address and an overview of the Empowering the Vision Project (EVP) by Ms. Tenzin Dolma, Program Officer, who highlighted the importance of developing essential employability skills to meet today’s professional expectations. The programme was coordinated with the support of Mr. Tenzin Nyenzey Gompo, EVP Intern.
The training sessions were facilitated by Ms. Sapna Gupta, Certified Soft Skills Trainer, who delivered engaging and interactive sessions on key topics including resume development, interview preparation, communication skills, professional etiquette, email writing, and mock interviews. Participants also actively engaged in ice-breaking activities and question-and-answer sessions, making the workshop both informative and practical.

Students of the College actively participated throughout the programme and benefited from the trainer’s expertise and practical approach. The sessions encouraged self-reflection, confidence-building, and professional development, enabling students to better understand the expectations and requirements of today’s competitive job market.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Tenzin Dolma, Program Officer, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Sapna Gupta, Certified Soft Skills Trainer, Dr. Ngawang Soepa Bhutia, Principal, and all participating students for their valuable contributions to the successful conduct of the workshop.

This was followed by remarks from the College Captain, Ms. Tenzin Kelsang, who, on behalf of all the students, conveyed sincere appreciation to the organizers and the trainer for providing an insightful and enriching learning experience. The event concluded with a group photograph, marking the successful completion of the Employability Skills Training Workshop.
