On the afternoon of 21st Nov.2024, Men Tsee Khang Sowa Rigpa Medical College and Hospital
invited Dr. Coralie Graham, Prof. from the School of Nursing & Midwifery, University of
Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia to deliver her lecture on Neuro-Inflammatory Disease.
Dr. Coralie spoke about the definition of Neuroinflammation and role of Tumor Necrosis Factor
in general and a wide range of Neuro inflammatory diseases and their attributed symptoms in
particular. Neuroinflammatory diseases can be associated with chronic trauma, Stroke, Brain
Injury, Cancer, Depression, PTSD, autism, Encephalopathy, etc. She also shed light on her
experiences with the 1st clinical trial of Vertebral Vascular Injection or Perispinal Etanercept

the study following which 2nd trial is in the pipeline with Griffith University’s School of
Pharmacy and Medical Science.
She also engaged the students with a video clip presentation of two cases as a testimony to her
PSE intervention and their effectiveness has been eye-opening and appreciated. She welcomed
any questions and acknowledged the integration of traditional medicine like Sowa-Rigpa, which
has potential when it comes to the holistic prevention and management of neuro-
inflammatory-associated diseases. Toward the end, she demonstrated the PSE injection with
interested students, and Dr Penpa Dhundup, a faculty member, presented her with a small gift
as a token of gratitude before concluding this intriguing session.
