On 18th December 2025, the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa (NISR), Leh, Ladakh, organized an educational tour for the first batch of final-year BSRMS students, offering them a valuable opportunity for academic exposure and hands-on learning. The tour was designed to broaden their perspectives, deepen their professional understanding, and inspire their future journey in the field of Sowa Rigpa.
Guided by Professor Dr. Tsering Thakchoe, former Chairman of the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine (CCTM), and Assistant Professor Dr. Rigzin Smanla, a Men-Tsee-Khang alumnus and practitioner, the students were warmly received at Men-Tsee-Khang College.
Under the leadership of Principal Professor Dr. Ngawang Soepa Bhutia, and Vice-Principal Professor Dr. Namdol Lhamo, the group explored key academic departments including Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Materia Medica, and Gynaecology. They also visited the college library, an important hub of knowledge and research. In addition, the students toured various departments of the Men-Tsee-Khang Institute, gaining meaningful insights into its academic and clinical practices.
