Dr. Adam Roshan Speaks on Osteoarthritis and Its Management

On 30 May 2026, expert talk committee of the Men-Tsee-Khang Sowa Rigpa Medical College successfully conducted the second session of this year’s Invited Guest Lecture Series. We were honoured to host Dr. Adam Roshan, a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon, who shared his valuable expertise on osteoarthritis and its management with students, faculty members, and physicians from other departments of Men-Tsee-Khang.

Dr. Adam Roshan is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who has specialized in the treatment of knee arthritis and knee replacement surgery for more than 20 years. Throughout his career, he has performed thousands of surgeries and authored two books: The Knee Book: A Guide to the Aging Knee and O.R. Confidential: Confessions of a Gen X Surgeon. These books are available for borrowing from our college library.

During the lecture, Dr. Roshan discussed various aspects of osteoarthritis, including conservative treatment approaches, medical management, and other non-surgical treatment options. He also provided detailed insights into surgical interventions, particularly joint replacement surgery, covering indications for surgery, potential risks and complications, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.

The session was highly informative and interactive, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary approaches to osteoarthritis management. Following the lecture, Dr. Roshan generously offered consultation sessions for participants addressing their questions and sharing further professional guidance.

The lecture was greatly appreciated by all attendees and contributed significantly to enhancing their knowledge of orthopaedic care and osteoarthritis management.
