Four-Day Intensive Human Anatomy and Physiology Training at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College & Hospital in Tanda, Kangra

The four-day intensive Human Anatomy and Physiology training for the first professional students of Men-Tsee-Khang Sowa-Rigpa College & Hospital took place successfully from 6-9 November 2023 at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College & Hospital in Tanda, Kangra.

The Anatomy sessions covered comprehensive regional cadaveric anatomy, observation of Anatomy museum specimens, a radiology session, and an embryology session. Physiology topics included the measurement of blood pressure, estimation of hemoglobin using Sahli hemocytometer, microscopic identification of white blood cells, diagnosis and clinical examination, knee jerk reflex test, and tuning fork test. Our College expresses our deepest gratitude to Prof. Bhanu Awasthi, the Principal of DRPGMC, for generously granting permission to conduct this valuable training and for sharing the rich faculty resources and facilities of DRPGMC with us. Special gratitude and appreciation are extended to the dedicated and experienced faculty of the Anatomy Department, led by Dr. Suman Yandav (Prof. & Head), and the Physiology Department, led by Dr. Sapna S. Bhardwaj (Prof. & Head), for providing a highly enriching learning experience. We also thank Dr. Rashmi Kaul (Prof. & Head) and the faculty of the Pathology Department for warmly welcoming us to observe the Pathology Museum.
