Final Exams of the 20th Batch Medical Students of Men-Tsee-Khang College, Dharamsala Completed Successfully

The fifth-year medical students of Men-Tsee-Khang College, Dharamsala appeared for their one-month-long final examination, which was held from 11th October to 12th November 2021.


The examinations comprised of the oral tests (text and allegorical tree – Dhong drem) and written tests including drawing of the anatomical grid (Jang khog yul thig) and identification of the medicinal dry herbs and other materia medica. In addition, seven students of the 20th batch voluntarily put in extra hard work throughout these five years in doing thorough memorization of the three (Gyue sum – root, explanatory and subsequent) of the four fundamental tantras and each of them performed excellently in front of all college examination board and faculty members, and students during Gyue sum recitation program held from 17 – 20 November 2021. From 23-26 November, the outgoing students will participate in a 4-day workshop on practical Tibetan Medicine and Allopathic Medicine under the experienced senior doctors. The students will then undertake a one-year compulsory internship in the Men-Tsee-Khang branch clinics from Feb 2022 to Feb 2023.
