On Saturday, 21st June 2025 marked the 11th International Yoga Day and the 11th State-Level Yoga Festival was successfully celebrated with so much passion and excitement at the Sports Complex in Dharamshala. The occasion was a joint initiative of the State Government’s Ayush Department and Youth Services and Sports Department and was held from 6:30a.m. to 8:30a.m. in the morning.


Minister of Ayush Himachal Pradesh and Youth Services and Sports Shri Yadvinder Goma presided over the ceremony and addressed the gathering by highlighting the growing importance of yoga in today’s hectic lifestyles and adding a powerful note that “we must give more importance to yoga than even food. It is not just exercise. It’s a way of life that fosters balance, self-discipline, and mental stability.”

Under the ministry of Ayush, Men-Tsee-khang Sowa-Rigpa Medical College was also invited to observe this state-level yoga festival. Seventeen students and two faculties from our college and hundreds of other participants including dignitaries, yoga instructors, local people, and school students came together to witness the program and perform yoga and spread the message of a call for disease-free living through yoga. The event was successfully ended with refreshments and photo sessions.
